early start this morning

fury decided he wanted to go outside and pee at 4am...so it only made sense for me to stay awake, work a bit, shower and get on the road to hudson much earlier than planned.

btw: i finally learned how to work the gps on my iphone...LOVE it!!!

fury is now residing at his forever home on a farm. his "new brother" is javelin.
then there's a teeny-tiny "stepsister," lilah...
not to mention a handful (or two) of others who came around to welcome him too!

javelin:

fury, javelin and itsy bitsy lilah peeking around...

apollo, the goat...begging for a doggie treat...

and fury's new mom:

after visiting awhile and saying a very heartfelt goodbye to fury, i headed to tampa to see the grandkids...they are growing up SO fast....and are always so entertaining.

looking forward to spending tomorrow and saturday with the family before i head out to greenville,sc.

rest stop in savannah

the dogs have been PERFECT travelers! i couldn't have asked for better.

checked into laQuinta---we're on the third floor!!! i definitely had my hands full toting a suitcase, camera case, laptop, two dogs on leashes and one in my arms (demi was not a fan of the elevator or steps)
kramer & demi have never stayed at a hotel before. but fury pranced around like he owned the place.

after being cooped up in the car all day, they (ahem, kramer) acted like rowdy kids for the first 20 minutes...i even caught kramer jumping on the bed!! ;o)

fury, on the other hand, is such a gentleman...the one word that keeps popping in my head to describe him is "polite". (i swear it looks like he has a wig attached to his tail!)

so...sweet dreams!!
off to florida in the morning!

just a few more

he had an itch...

 his awesome tail

posing already!

fury is here!

so kramer, demi and i got stuck in traffic at the bridge tunnel for almost 45 minutes this morning, but we made it to va beach and met fury, his foster mom and juicy...(her sweet little gal). we arrived back home without a hitch.

and the outdoor 'pee-fest' may officially be over for the boys and everyone is pretty much content and quiet...right now.

kramer hasn't been super hospitable but nothing much phases fury--he is SO handsome!!! and omg sweet. not to mention smart...he figured out where the treats were stashed within minutes of being here.

here are some photos:

 such sweeties...

fury will miss juicy sooooo much...

 checkin' demi out

crazy about green

i can't believe i found a dog crate to match my car!!!
and what a sturdy, nice, practical one it is too. by -- PET GEAR -- thru TSCPets
the guy i'm transporting will be using it but kramer had to give it his stamp of approval first.

kramer and demi will be riding in their regular car seats and keeping fury company in the back seat. i found this was the best way to belt them all in tight and make sure everyone could see out the windows! (and keep their eyes on the speedometer)

the four-pack

my two back seat drivers on the journey will most likely be demi (hairy hairless chinese crested) and kramer (true hairless chinese crested). they are the perfect little travelers...
lucy and chip (yorkies) are not as patient with my driving. but will be supporting me (and panting) from their humble abode.

before shots

900 miles and the odometer will read 000000!
not sure how many times this has actually happened for him so i feel like he deserves a makeover.

on the wall (ahem) i mean fence about what color to have humpty painted. keep him yellow & white or go for green & white?

first things first . . .

a tune-up and a paint job!

in the meantime, the grandkids have a gigglin' good time testing the horn for me---
it works GREAT!

"peace!"
